58 years is a long time. The Philadelphia Eagles‘ Super Bowl win on February 4th of 2018 ended a championship drought that had existed since the time ran out on one last gasp by the Green Bay Packers to put the finishing touches on a final go-ahead drive during the NFL Championship Game on Dec 26th of 1960.

That was a Monday afternoon game at Franklin Field. It’s hard to imagine a championship game not being played on Sunday, but it was a different time back then.

What hasn’t changed, through the ups and downs the Eagles have experienced in the five decades that have followed and the long wait that separated their last two championships is the love the NFL’s most passionate fan base has for its football team.

Despite differences in background and cultures, Philadelphia Eagles fans can all agree on a few things.

Win or lose, they haven’t gone anywhere. Their love for the Birds grows with each passing season.

Hang out at any NFL game the Philadelphia Eagles are playing in, whether it be at home or on the road, and you’ll bear witness to a takeover. Philly packs Lincoln Financial Field with ease. They turn the opposing team’s venue into a home away from home.

Their fans hail from different backgrounds and parts of the country. Birds fans exist in every religious sector, economic area, and walk of life. Take the late, great Kobe Bryant for instance.

The Black Mamba, a product of Lower Merion High School, was a lifelong Eagles fan. He even spoke with the 2017-2018 squad before their win in football’s biggest game. Gosh, we wish we had the full audio of that one.

Kobe is one of those famous faces we think of when discussing the massive contingent that loves its Birds. How about a baker’s dozen? Here are 12 more celebrities who have excelled in their respective fields while still maintaining the same love for this team that every single one of us can identify with.

P!nk

A native of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, singer/songwriter P!nk will never be classified as being ‘shy’ by anyone. She’s one of the best entertainers on Planet Earth, and you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who can lay claim to being bolder about their love for the Birds.

Whether rocking the midnight green on her Instagram account or sharing her excitement about being granted the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at Super Bowl LII, this three-time Grammy Award winner is a living and breathing example of the fanatic that lies in all of us.

She took to her social media before the Eagles' appearance in Super Bowl LII to wish them luck. Just in case your memory is a little hazy, the Birds raised the Vince Lombardi Trophy afterward.

Morris Chestnut

He’s come a long way from his breakthrough performance in 1991 as Ricky Baker in the iconic film Boyz n the Hood. Morris Chestnut earned his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in March of 2022, and as proud as he is (and should be) about that honor, he’s equally as proud of his badge as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles Nation.

Who remembers this hype video? That one still sends chills down the spine. Morris is an accomplished actor, and he's alright with us.

Quinta Brunson

Quinta Brunson is a brilliant writer, comedian, producer, and actress. She’s well-known for having created content for BuzzFeed and BuzzFeed Motion Pictures and also for her Instagram series Girl Who Has Never Been on a Nice Date. Another of her creations, the Primetime Emmy-winning series Abbott Elementary is never short of a few Eagles references.

Who would have thought Philadelphia Eagles fans Will Smith and ?uestlove would be where they are now?

It’s been a long time since Will Smith brilliantly detailed one of the worst days of his adolescence in the 1987 hip hop classic, Parents Just Don’t Understand. A 1989 Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance followed as did his hit television show, The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.

Since then, we could say that the sky has been the limit, but that wouldn’t be accurate. Smith shot for the moon and took up residency there. He’s a reminder to Birds fans all over the planet that Eagles fans, regardless of where they come from, can become American icons.

They’re two different types of artists, but they share tons of similarities. ?uestlove, a man formerly known as ‘Brother Question’, is a hip-hop icon who, like Will Smith, hails from the City of Brotherly Love. They’re also super fans of the guys in green.

Check out the Eagles kick drum.

These days, Ahmir Khalib Thompson and his bandmates, one of the greatest hip hop collectives of all time, The Roots, can be seen holding things down nightly on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and just in case you’re interested, if you’ve never checked them out, there are 11 studio albums by the legendary Roots crew for your listening pleasure for you to catch up on.

You better hop to it. You’re sure to be playing some of their stuff with the loop mode enabled.

Kevin Hart

Only a die-hard fan of the Philadelphia Eagles would know this, but once upon a time, one of the great comedic minds of our time donned some Dallas Cowboys gear and it was captured on film.

Aww, cut him some slack. He was a kid for goodness sakes!

Thank goodness for proper upbringing and correction. Kevin Hart got it together, and he’s more than made up for the mistakes of his youth, repping his hometown Eagles every chance he gets.

The last stop on his “What Now?” tour was a packed house at Lincoln Financial Field. He was allowed full access to the main stage. We wish we could say the same thing about his failed attempt to join his favorite team on the podium after Philly’s 41-33 victory in Super Bowl LII over the New England Patriots. That one didn’t work out too well for him.

Meek Mill

No one loves a comeback or underdog story like the citizens of Philadelphia and Eagles fans. Perhaps one of the greatest comeback stories we’ve seen in a while belongs to one of hip hop’s shining stars, Meek Mill.

It’s been quite the journey for the co-founder of nonprofit Reform Alliance, an organization that focuses on justice, parole, and probation reform. His classic, Dreams and Nightmares, became an Eagles anthem during their march to Super Bowl LII (and their entrance track during their introduction at football’s biggest game). He also has his remix version of Wiz Khalifa’s Black and Yellow, a banger he calls Green and White.

Yes friends, Meek is a Philadelphia Eagles fan through and through, and don’t you ever forget it.

Bradley Cooper

There are many names we can bring up when it comes to the legions of Eagles fans that have added to their names to the ranks over the years, but a list of celebrity enthusiasts may not be complete without the mention of Bradley Cooper.

A BAFTA winner, Screen Actors Guild Award winner, and two-time Grammy Award winner, Cooper has been nominated for nine Academy Awards, including one for Best Actor following his performance as the lead of 2012’s Silver Linings Playbook, where he played a die-hard Eagles fan.

He probably didn’t have to do much to get into character for that one.

Mike Trout

There are certain things we can count on as Eagles fans. We’ll always hate the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, and Washington Commanders, and at every home game, we can count on several things as we can count on Christmas arriving on December 25th.

Merrill Reese and Mike Quick have everything under control in the radio booth. Jeffrey Lurie will look down from his suite, one he once shared with Bradley Cooper at Super Bowl LII, and at every Eagles home game, nine-time All-Star and three-time American League MVP Mike Trout will take up residency to cheer the Birds on from his seat in the end zone.

Sylvester Stallone

Remember when we were discussing the city of Philadelphia, Eagles fans, and their love of the underdog story? How do we put this? There’s a reason why Rocky Balboa, a fictional character, was given a statue before Joe Frazier.

We’re not saying that there’s a good reason for that happening. Frazier was a true Philadelphia legend and native (and a real person), but let’s face it. Rocky Balboa wouldn’t be the same character if he was from anywhere else.

Sylvester Stallone, the man who will forever be associated with his brilliant decades-long depiction of the fictional prizefighter from Philly was born in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan, New York, but he’s an Eagles fan through and through. No one will ever be able to question the validity of that statement.

Joe Biden

Yes friends, one of the former leaders of the free world is an Eagles fan. He even attended the victory parade in 2018.

Born in St. Mary’s Hospital in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Joe Biden has traveled a long road that has led him up the political ladder and into the White House. He can partially thank the City of Philadelphia and Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral college votes for that, but either way you slice things, it’s nice to know that Birds fans have friends in the highest of high places.

Tina Fey

Born in the Upper Darby Township in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock star has shown her love for the Philadelphia Eagles on each platform. This SNL skit is the stuff of legend.

Yes, Tina definitely gets the high-five in our book. There’s no way she gets left off of this list.

Carli Lloyd

There aren’t many professional sports resumes that rival the one Carli Lloyd has pieced together. A former American professional soccer player and member of the NJ/NY Gotham FC, she’s also a two-time Olympic gold medalist, a two-time FIFA Player of the Year, and a two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup champion.

During the U.S. Women’s National Team’s victory parade in New York, on a day when everyone showed up to celebrate her and her teammates, she had the Birds on her mind, stating she’s “a Jersey girl through and through” and that, even though “New York is just as close”, she’s “an Eagles fan down in Philly”. Take a look.

Now, if that doesn’t scream ‘die-hard fan’, nothing will.

Who's looking for an Eagles history lesson?

Honorable mention: Okay, once we got started, we just couldn’t help ourselves, so let’s keep the party going. Sue us.

We have to show love to M. Night Shyamalan, Ryan Phillippe, Rob McElhenney, and Nascar driver Martin Truex, Jr.
