The Philadelphia Eagles add one of the Georgia Bulldogs’ other linebackers.

As mentioned earlier, Philly’s mock trade with Pittsburgh gives them consecutive picks in Round 2, and they put it to good use, addressing a position they’ve developed a reputation for being negligent in upgrading, linebacker.

When the pre-draft process began, Georgia’s Nakobe Dean was someone much of the Eagles fan base wanted. Obviously, he won’t be available in Round 2, but Philadelphia gets the next best thing, Quay Walker in two of our three sims. Wyoming Cowboys standout Chad Muma is the choice in the other.

Both elevate the Eagles linebacker corps the second they step into the NovaCare Complex.

On their big board, Pro Football Focus stacks Walker as the fourth-best linebacker and the 45th-ranked prospect overall. He’s available to Philly during Round 2 in two of the three sims. Let’s hope that’s how things work out on Friday.

Simulation 2: Quay Walker (Georgia linebacker)

We feel like Walker would have been the selection a few more times had we run the simulator again.

Simulation 3: Chad Mumu (Wyoming linebacker)

Muma is the seventh-ranked linebacker on PFF’s board and their 63rd-ranked prospect overall. He seems to be a more realistic possibility for the Eagles at 52. He has the size and athleticism to be a monster and nightmare for any offense he faces at the professional level.
