So, now it appears that the Eagles may trade up in the NFL Draft, huh?

Ever since the pre-draft hullabaloo got going, certain names kept being connected to the Philadelphia Eagles, names we couldn’t ignore: Derek Stingley, Jermaine Johnson, Drake London, Jordan Davis, Matt Corral. That’s the nature of the NFL Draft.

It would be great if the Philadelphia Eagles could land all of those guys. Unfortunately, the reality is there’s a high chance that none of those guys will ever don the midnight or kelly green.

There’s a common thread that ties each of those prospects together though. Even though they attended different schools, will eventually play for different NFL franchises, and will make their name by playing different positions, they’re all seen as top prospects and potential stars. They also satisfy a need the Birds have.

As we near the final hours of the waiting process, the rumor mill continues to churn, and the Eagles are back in the headlines. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Philly may be interested in trading up for a dynamic player on defense.

We’ve discussed a few options before. Here’s one final look… three top-tier draft prospects that may be on the Eagles’ radar if Rapoport is correct.
