Possible Eagles first-round targets if rumors of trading up are true
Trusted Eagles voices would like to see Kyle Hamilton in Philadelphia.
Taking a first-round corner isn’t something we see Philly do often. It seems less likely that they’d move up for a safety, but again, if there are any plans about doing so, Kyle Hamilton is the guy you break old habits to acquire.
In a recent episode of their Eagle Eye Podcast, NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Dave Zabgaro and Reuben Frank, two guys who have deservedly earned our trust over the years, discussed draft theories and possibilities. Fast forward to about the 6:30-minute mark to hear Roob’s theory on cornerback being the biggest team need at the moment. Dave expresses his infatuation with Kyle Hamilton as well at about the 11.50 mark.

As Dave mentions, it will be interesting to see how Hamilton is valued on draft night and where he’s taken. Recent mock drafts have been all over the place. Some have him going as high as the second-overall selection to the Detroit Lions. Others land him in the middle round and AFTER both of Philly’s picks at 15 and 18.
Keep an eye on this one. Some may disagree about how high the Eagles would consider taking a safety. One thing is certain though. Kyle Hamilton is a home-run waiting to happen. As Roob puts it, if the Birds have a chance to take him and don’t, they’ll live to regret it.
