So, what happens if the Philadelphia Eagles miss out on Kyle Hamilton?

As we approach the announcement of the beginning of Round 1 of the NFL Draft by Commissioner Roger Goodell and the news that the Jacksonville Jaguars are on the clock, none of the pre-draft questions we’ve asked about the Philadelphia Eagles have led us to conversations that provide us with satisfactory answers. We’ve only managed to ask more questions.

Here’s one. Is it possible that Kyle Hamilton could slide to the middle portion of Round 1 and be available for the Birds at 15? That seemed like an impossibility a month ago. Now, people are saying it might happen. We at ITI align ourselves with people who stick to the original theory.

Kyle Hamilton could be taken as high as the second-overall selection. That would obviously mean that the Eagles may want to focus their attention on guys that could be available in Round 2. They’ve been known to find a few special players there over the years (Wes Hopkins, Brian Dawkins, Michael Lewis). Will we add another name to the list in 2022? It’s highly possible.

In the meantime, we’ll be frank. Again. we see no scenario that ends with Kyle Hamilton sliding to Philadelphia in the middle of Round 1. That being said. Here are the best second-round options if the Birds look to address the safety position in Round 2. We’re going to assume cornerback/safety hybrid Daxton Hill (Michigan Wolverines) is already off of the board when the second round gets underway.
