. . Lewis Cine, Georgia. 1. player. 814.

Lewis Cine may be the best Eagles safety prospect not named Hamilton or Hill.

To some, Lewis Cine is someone that can slide into Round 1 as one of the final prospects taken on the NFL Draft’s first night. To others, listing him as a second-round target makes more sense. Here’s where you get the best of both worlds.

We’ll assume the latter theory is the most accurate and place him at the top of this list while also tipping the cap to acknowledge there are quite a few draft boards that place him somewhere in the area of being anywhere from one of the top 30 to 40 guys in the selection meeting regardless of position.

PFF ranks Cine as the 26th-overall player on their board and the second-best safety behind Mr. Hamilton. They also credit him as being one of the best tacklers the Georgia Bulldogs had in 2021 as PFF charts him as only having missed 11 of his 159 career attempts.

You’d like to see one of the NFL Draft’s top safety prospects around the ball a little more though. He only boasts two interceptions and 14 pass breakups for his entire NCAA career (and he never forced a fumble).

Still, all things considered when the dust clears and the smoke settles, he figures to wow everyone as one of this class’s big-hitters and with his ability to rise to the occasion in big moments. The votes are in, and we agree with the result.

Lewis Cine is universally acknowledged as the 2022 draft class’s best safety and someone who could easily be selected during the latter stages of Round 1. If not, Philadelphia may have to trade up if the goal is to land him in Round 2. If the unthinkable happens and he slides to 51, we might begin using phrases like ‘no-brainer’.
