Sometimes, two statements that appear to be direct contradictions of one another can both be accurate. For instance, this year is both flying and dragging by. It’s flying by in the sense that we’re already at the end of April and New Year’s Day wasn’t that long ago seemingly. It’s dragging by because it feels like it took forever to get from the most recent Super Bowl to the coming NFL Draft. Here’s a Philadelphia Eagles comp.

Potential Birds prospect Kyle Hamilton has been seen as someone who could realistically be taken with the second-overall selection. That, friends, is a fact. Here’s another that contradicts the first.

There are realistic scenarios that can be drawn up in which Hamilton slides to the middle of Round 1, making him available for Philadelphia with the 15th-overall selection. Many NFL Draft pundits have stated such, so this theory has to be coming from somewhere.

Sure, we doubt its accuracy. Anything can happen though, right? Let’s talk about Lewis Cine. He appears to be the best second-round option if Philly looks for a safety on Day 2 right? We’re assuming that Hamilton is long gone once we reach Friday evening and Michigan’s Daxton Hill is off of the board too. Both are very real possibilities.

Lewis Cine draws a comparison to someone that everyone in Eagles Nation will know.

In his draft profile of the six-foot-two, 199-pound Cine, NFL.com’s Lance Zeirlein gives him an NFL comparison of, believe it or not, current Eagles safety Anthony Harris. Yes, we know what you’re thinking.

Are we discussing the Anthony Harris we saw a season ago or the guy that turned heads in 2019 and 2020? Don’t forget, Harris was the NFL’s co-leader in interceptions after the 2019 regular-season campaign after snagging six on the year. We’ve seen moments of brilliance, but he wasn’t that same guy in 2021.

Here are two more statements that seemingly contradict one another despite both being accurate. Cine should hear his name called in Round 2. That’s more than likely when he comes off of everyone’s big board, but no one should be surprised at all if he slips into Round 1 either. Day 1 and Day 2 grades both make equal sense.

Cine was the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship Game Defensive MVP and a First-Team All-SEC nod. We haven’t seen the ball-hawking playmaking ability yet. He has two interceptions and 14 pass breakups on his 31-game collegiate resume. Make no mistake about it though. He’s a baller.

Zierlein gives him a grade of 6.26, meaning he will eventually be an average starter, but he’s shown the ability to block out the outside noise and rise to the occasion in big moments. That will serve him well at the next level. With proper coaching, this is a young man that can grow into a legitimate baller. The interceptions will come. Pay very close attention to
