Change is probably the only constant that you can rely on in an ever-changing NFL. Even the most tenured quarterbacks can find themselves in the football limbo better known as the injured reserve if something unfortunate happens. The Philadelphia Eagles, after introducing a new coaching staff in 2021, have been performing an organizational facelift ever since.

Just a smidgeon over 15 months after Nick Sirianni was hired, the Birds look a lot different than they did a year ago. That will continue as they tweak what will eventually wind up being a 90-man training camp roster, and it appears they’re hard at work to continue constructing the best front office possible.

Philadelphia Eagles fans, meet Charles Walls, their new Director of Player Personnel.

Everything seems to be coming together with the Philadelphia Eagles’ young roster. The front office is taking shape as well.

ESPN’s Kimberly Martin reports that Philadelphia is hiring Cleveland Browns national scout Charles Walls as their new director of player personnel. Take a gander.

This is another move in what’s been a busy Eagles offseason. Here’s a quick refresher if you’ve had some difficulty keeping track of the comings and goings.

Following stints in the CFL and XFL, Vice President of Football Operations Catherine Raîche was hired by the Cleveland Browns to a high-ranking position, reuniting her with Andrew Berry. This after two other significant members of the Eagles’ leadership team, Brandon Brown and Ian Cunningham, were lost to the New York Giants and Chicago Bears respectively.

A day after Raîche’s departure, Philly fired their director of scouting operations, Casey Weidl. and Jeff McLane reported that Shawn Heinlen (southwest area scout), Evan Pritt (scouting assistant), and T.J. McCreight (player personnel executive/scout) are no longer with the organization.

Philly interviewed Jim Nagy, the Senior Bowl’s director, for a position in the scouting department. Shortly thereafter, McLane also reported that Tom Donahoe, the franchise’s Senior football advisor, stepped down, and as we move into May’s second full week, the ripple effects are expected to continue. Stay tuned.
