Three Eagles rookies could make the climb from being undrafted to earning roster spots.

Everyone should know this, but if you don’t, here’s your scouting report on Mario Goodrich, Josh Jobe, and Carson Strong. All of these guys could have been drafted, and that wouldn’t have been a surprise to anyone. They weren’t, and the Eagles are lucky to have them.

How’s that for insight? We wouldn’t be shocked at all if made the Philadelphia Eagles’ 53-man regular-season roster… period!

The ‘don’t be surprised if these guys become contributors’ tier

3. Kennedy Brooks, running back

Finally! This is the power back we’ve been looking for. Kennedy Brooks can run past people, but more importantly, he can eat up yardage late in the fourth quarter if the Birds have a lead and pick up tough yardage on third-and-short or in the red zone if necessary.

Don’t be shocked if he beats out Jason Huntley to earn a spot on the Eagles’ roster as their fourth running back.

2. Mario Goodrich, cornerback

Statistically, Mario Goodrich‘s final year in Clemson with the Tigers was just as good as what we saw from Andrew Booth Jr. Goodrich didn’t have as many picks (two compared to three by Booth), but if the Birds don’t wind up landing the recently released James Bradberry, successful arguments can be made for Goodrich walking into the NovaCare Complex and winning the other outside starting cornerback job opposite of Darius Slay. He’s that good.

Some see him as a backup and special teams contributor. His ceiling could be higher than that though.
