Bold predictions for the Eagles dynamic duo at receiver (that are too early)
The Eagles’ offensive ariel attack looks much scarier now with the addition of A.J. Brown.
The acquisition of veteran wide receiver A.J. Brown has brought a renewed hope that the Philadelphia Eagles are moving in the right direction to bring another Super Bowl win and Vince Lombardi Trophy back to the City of Brotherly Love.
It kind of feels like it did when the organization signed Alshon Jeffery in 2017 and Terrell Owens before him. Who remembers that one? The love and fanfare that Brown is receiving feel very similar to what T.O. must have experienced upon his arrival.
There’s also the excitement that comes with knowing Brown will be paired with DeVonta Smith. It’s going to be tough to stop that tandem. They give Philly the best or one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFC East and, dare we say, the entire NFL. There aren’t many other franchises that can boast about having a similarly dynamic one-two punch at the position.
If Brown and Smith reinvigorate the passing attack, it will only help the rushing game to become even more potent than it was last season. That creates balance and removes predictability which, in turn, could allow this team to be more competitive versus potential playoff teams.
What should we expect from Mr. Brown this year in Eagles Green? Sure, we realize it’s still May, but let’s throw out a few ideas.
