Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown will extinguish two seven-year droughts and tie a personal best.

It’s trivia time! Who was the last Eagles wide receiver to eclipse the 1,000-yards-receiving plateau? If you answered by saying ‘Jeremy Maclin‘, give yourself a gold star!

Maclin, another first-round receiver taken by the organization (2009) notched 1,318 receiving yards during the 2014 season. Yes, it has been a while folks. Jordan Matthews came close to achieving that feat in 2015, but he fell three yards short, finishing the campaign with 997 receiving yards.

Come on! They couldn’t throw him one more pass?

A.J. Brown passing the 1,000-yards receiving mark in his first year with the Eagles should be attainable. During the 2019 and 2020 seasons, Brown put up 1,051 and 1,075 receiving yards respectively. Injuries sidelined him a year ago as he tallied 869 yards in 13 games, but the 2022-2023 NFL regular season should be a bounceback year.

You can also expect Brown to hit double digits in receiving touchdowns as well (as Maclin also did in 2014). In 2020, Brown posted a career-high 11 receiving touchdowns with the Titans. Expect him to replicate that total in Philadelphia.
