How about some way-too-early game-by-game predictions for the 2022-2023 Eagles season?

Well, you had to know this was coming. We’ve long known who the Philadelphia Eagles‘ opponents will be for the 2022-2023 NFL regular season. Now, we know when they’ll be playing them and at what time.

We’ve also known what the first two games on the Eagles’ schedule are for a little while now. Here are some way-too-early game-by-game predictions. Let’s see if your theories match up with ours.

17. 50. Final. 27. 54

Date and Time: Sunday, September 11th at 1 p.m. EST

Venue: Ford Field

Eagles overall and divisional record: 1-0, 0-0

We heard about this one early on May 12th, and with the announcement, a smile crossed the face of every Eagles fan. With new faces on the roster and the need to build some early momentum and chemistry, it doesn’t get much more favorable than a game versus the Detroit Lions, even if that game is on the road.

Final. 20. 60. 23. 54

Date and Time: Monday, September 19th at 8:30 p.m. EST

Venue: Lincoln Financial Field

Eagles overall and divisional record: 2-0, 0-0

Dare we say it? A two-game winning streak to begin the regular season. Two things have to be mentioned here. One, Kirk Cousins will never be Joe Montana, but he’s better than Jared Goff. Second, last season, Jonathan Gannon’s defense made average quarterbacks look like Montana in 2021.

Let’s hope improvements have been made. We’re trusting that there have been. The Eagles win a close one here on Monday Night Football and improve to 2-0 on the young season.
