15. . . . New Orleans Saints. . team

If the Eagles aren’t careful, the Saints could end the streak in 2022.

Date: Sunday, January 1st at 1 p.m. EST

Venue: Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)

Say what you want about Jalen Hurts. He’s had the New Orleans Saints number!

Two of his first 19 starts have come at home versus the New Orleans Saints. He’s won both, completing just under 56 percent of his passes as he’s thrown for 314 yards and a touchdown while finding his way into the end zone three more times with his legs.

We know what you’re thinking. The next step for QB1 has to be evolving to where he can shred opposing defenses with his arm. The Saints have been solid defensively for a while under Dennis Allen. He takes the reigns now as head coach while Ryan Nielsen (defensive line) and Kris Richard (secondary) take over as co-defensive coordinators.

Oh, and don’t look now, but after besting Philly in the Tyrann Mathieu sweepstakes, they also landed Jarvis Landry one day after the NFL schedule was released.

Who knows what to expect from New Orleans. It felt like they might have a chance at winning the NFC South following Tom Brady’s retirement, but then, TB12 ‘unretired’. Now, it looks like they might be in the hunt for a Wild Card berth.

Philly leads the all-time series and should be favored in this one, but you never know. No one expects the Saints to lie down.

This one could be interesting. This one could determine a Wild Card berth in the NFC. Being at home helps the Eagles, but if the Saints can create a few breaks for themselves, this one spells ‘upset’.
