Another massive addition begs the question. How might the Eagles’ roster look in 2022?

Wins and losses in the NFL by the Philadelphia Eagles will never be determined anywhere else other than on the field, but we spend a lot of time talking about how good teams look ‘on paper’ for a reason. Who you have on your depth chart matters.

No one should be shocked that fielding a football team with a slew of average players led to an average on-field product. Since the Super Bowl run, three of the Eagles’ last four seasons (2018, 2019, and 2021) have ended with nine wins. That includes the most recent, the first 18-week, 17-game campaign in franchise history. The other season led to a 4-11-1 finish.

Fortunately, the Birds have managed to eek three more playoff appearances out of that stretch. Unfortunately, they’ve only won one playoff game. There’s hope that this team takes the next step, and they’ve most certainly aided themselves with a tremendous offseason and draft.

No one believes they’re done wheeling and dealing, but after evaluating the past three months, thoughts turn to guesses about what the 53-man roster might look like on opening weekend. Here are a few Birds who appear to have tougher hills to climb to secure a spot on the roster.
