Philadelphia Eagle running back Miles Sanders will have a season to talk remember in 2022.

Let’s talk about one of the best Penn State Nittany Lions to walk through their program recently, someone with one of the best nicknames for a football player on Planet Earth. Join the ‘Boobie’ Miles Sanders love train won’t you?

The now 25-year-old  Philadelphia Eagles running back, after celebrating a birthday on May 1st, has proven, overall, to have been one of the better investments that the organization has made over the past five seasons. Dare we say that he’s even better than his Penn State predecessor, Saquon Barkley has been? You can make the argument.

Sanders has the stats to back it up, and while both have been hurt, Miles has been more available for his team which must be noted. He also has the stats to back it up. The best part is this. He has another great year coming on the horizon, one that might be one of his best to date.

So far, he’s tallied 818, 867, and 754 yards rushing in his first three seasons (2019-2021) combined with 509, 197, and 158 receiving-yard campaigns over the same stretch. Those are good and solid numbers from someone at the tailback position who has always played in a rotation.

His yards per reception total has taken a dip during each season, but that shouldn’t be cause for concern. He can be great without compiling tremendous amounts of yards as a receiver. What’s more important is that Philly finds the balance.

They need to utilize him without overworking him. They need to find the best way to rotate him in and out of the lineup to keep him fresh and healthy (because he has capable teammates in both Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott). Doing so will put Miles back in the discussion as being one of the best young backs in the game. Here are two reasons to expect a bounceback year during the 2022-2023 NFL season.
