Musical chairs continues for the Philadelphia Eagles‘ front office. It’s been quite the offseason. If you need a refresher, here’s what’s gone on (just in case you’ve missed anything).

Philly lost their vice president of player personnel, Andy Weidl, who had served in that role since 2018 when Joe Douglas left to be the New York Jets general manager in 2019. He’s with the Pittsburgh Steelers now. Both Weidl and Douglas joined the organization in 2016.

Prior to that, Philly also parted ways with their director of player personnel, Brandon Brown and their director of player personnel, Ian Cunningham. Add their names to a list that includes Shawn Heinlen (southwest area scout), Evan Pritt (scouting assistant), player personnel executive T.J. McCreight, vice president of football operations Catherine Raîche, and their director of scouting operations Casey Weidl.

It’s hard to believe that Casey Weidl’s departure had nothing to do with Andy’s exit. Perhaps that’s digging too much into things, but even if it isn’t, it’s all water under the bridge now.

Let’s talk about the additions the Philadelphia Eagles have made including the most recent.

There are obviously positions to fill in the Philadelphia Eagles’ front office now. The Birds have made a couple of additions, former Cleveland Browns national scout Charles Walls and Denver Broncos vice president of player personnel Matt Russell. Now, following the aforementioned loss of Weidl to the Steelers, Philly has made the decision to raid Pittsburgh’s front office.

According to Inside the Birds’ own Geoff Mosher, per NFL sources, Brandon Hunt, the Steelers’ pro scouting coordinator, is expected to join the Eagles’ scouting department.

light. Trending. 3 UDFAs... 3 huge subplots for the summer...

Hunt interviewed with Howie Roseman about three weeks ago for a front-office job after being passed over for the Steelers’ general manager and assistant GM jobs. Omar Khan was hired as GM. Weidl will serve in the assistant GM role.
