There are theories that the Commanders can shock the Eagles and the rest of the NFC East.

Many of the reports coming from the Commanders’ direction are about how big Carson Wentz is, how good he’s looked, and how the ball flies when he uncorks one. Okay, sure. We’ve heard this before, and we’ve seen the Twitter-worthy practice highlights before.

There’s a huge difference between wearing that mustard-yellow practice jersey that looks like an ugly slow-down sign and real games versus NFL defenses. We’ve heard that Wentz is the key. We’ve heard Washington will surprise people. We’ll believe it when we see it.
