Don’t forget about the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles have two more first-rounders in 2023.

Ever since the beginning of the offseason, the Inside The Iggles staff stated over and over that the Philadelphia Eagles would spread out their draft capital and defer some of their picks to 2023. The theory was that it was wise not to want to put all of their eggs into one basket with the 2022 draft class.

In the end, vice president/general manager Howie Roseman agreed and did exactly that. He made a huge trade with the New Orleans Saints that garnered a huge haul of picks for Philadelphia down the road.

With the 2022 NFL Draft concluding about a month and a half ago, we’ve spent some time looking into 2023’s potential prospects, and this is a group to be excited about. Philly will have plenty of options when they are on the board. They may even be in a position to trade for a superstar that gives them an even better chance to compete at a championship level.

Plenty of attention will be paid to the quarterback class. Philadelphia won’t hesitate to move up for their guy if Jalen Hurts does not perform well enough this season; however, we aren’t going to go down that road considering that there is a lot that needs to play out. Hurts also provided reasons to believe his play will improve in 2022 as he made some strides in the latter half of the 2021 season.

If all goes well, Philadelphia could be just a few pieces away from making a serious run this time next year. Who knows? They could do it sooner rather than later and make noise this season.

Regardless of where you stand on that, the 2023 draft will be a significant opportunity to add to their young core. Here’s an early guess on how things would play out if they held on to those first-round draft choices and made their selections.
