3 Fun facts on new Philadelphia Eagles safety Jaquiski Tartt

The Philadelphia Eagles certainly know how to keep a secret, don’t they? They may not be practicing, but there are no days off at the NovaCare Complex. On Friday, June 17th, they wrapped what, for the most part, had been a quiet week with the announcement that they had signed former San Francisco 49ers safety Jaquiski Tartt to a one-year deal.

If you’ll remember, Tartt topped our list of the best free-agent safety prospects that were still available after it was learned that the Eagles had missed out on Tyrann Mathieu. That was at the beginning of May. Some might ask why he sat so long if he’s so good. Make no mistake about it though. This is a solid signing for Philly as he should compete for a starting spot immediately.
