We’d like to see the Eagles beat Carson Wentz in what we hope is an uncomfortable homecoming party.

As is the case with Pederson, despite how things ended, Philadelphia will forever be thankful for Carson Wentz’s MVP-caliber season in 2017. He helped set the table for a championship and helped lay the groundwork for the Eagles’ first Super Bowl win.

Things didn’t go well last year with the Indianapolis Colts. They shipped him off to the Washington Commanders after a single season, so any remaining support that he had in Philly may have ended.

The first NFC East team Wentz will face this year is the Eagles. That one will be at FedExField, but these two are also scheduled for a Week 10 date at The Linc. That one’s going to be nationally televised on Monday Night Football.

The greatest ‘welcome home’ the Eagles defense can give Wentz will be a nice tail kicking. Six sacks in each of those games should be sufficient. Again, we can argue that pressure can lead to Wentz’s undoing, but he’s a different animal. You don’t need to pressure him to force him into making mistakes.

Play good defense, relax, and eventually, Carson will sail one in the wrong-colored jersey’s direction. With that being said, we’ll take a couple of picks in these games too.

Do not think for a second, regardless of what they say about these being ‘just another one of those games’, that Wentz and Pederson don’t have these games circled on their calendar. It will be the sweetest sight to see Philadelphia win every game that they play versus these two.
