5 Eagles training camp prospects who are certain to be fan favorites
Eagles training camp is upon us, and as always, we’re expecting some surprises.
It won’t be long now. We’re less than one week from the beginning of Philadelphia Eagles training camp. Excitement is in the air. Eventually, that will change and we’ll be spending our time looking ahead to Week 1’s game in Detroit versus the Lions because the preseason has grown stale, but it’s time to piece a roster together… officially.
We’ve long known what the top half of the roster looks like. We’re certain that Darius Slay, and Jalen Hurts, and Dallas Goedert have nothing to worry about. Something tells us that Brandon Graham, Miles Sanders, and A.J. Brown’s jobs are safe. Then, there are the new guys, Nakobe Dean, Cam Jurgens, and Nakobe Dean for instance. You can bet your bottom dollar that, when the 53-man roster is revealed, they’ll be on the team.
The Eagles have a talented roster, but it hasn’t been finalized yet. Those final 20 names or so will be intriguing. Veterans will be given their walking papers. Young guys will be given a chance, and then, there are the surprises.
Undrafted stars like T.J. Edwards, Corey Clement, and Josh Adams have battled their way onto the roster in recent years, and we’ve cheered throughout the entire process. Might there be a ‘Paul Turner’ on the current squad?
Popularity won’t win anyone a job, but come on. We’ve talked about these guys all spring and summer. We’ve grown attached, and once the preseason arrives, we’ll be pulling for one or two of these under-the-radar guys to play out of this world and catapult themselves onto the roster, just as we do every year.
Here are five potential fan favorites whose names you’ll want to put an asterisk beside.
