Unfortunately, some of these great Philadelphia Eagle talents are going to wind up playing elsewhere.

The more you pull up the Philadelphia Eagles roster and give it the once over, the more something begins to come into focus. There are a lot of talented players on this team. They’re not going to be able to keep everybody (even if we’d love to).

The 90-man unit that’s scheduled to show up at training camp on July 26th will need to be trimmed to a 53-man game-day roster and a scout team (practice squad) containing 16 more prospects that Philadelphia will want to continue developing.

As you know, other NFL franchises can poach Philly’s practice squad if they choose to, and seeing as how this might be the most talented group of rookie undrafted free agents that we’ve ever seen this team add post-draft, two things are certain.

One, in an effort to hang onto some of this talented group of rookies, it’s expected that one or two of these guys, at minimum, will make the team to avoid any possibility of losing them. Second, Carson Strong figures to be on the Eagles’ active roster when we reach Week 1 of the NFL’s regular season.
