The Eagles could bid farewell to some familiar faces after the preseason.

We all know the drill! How many of these have we seen? Whether you’re a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan looking for all the information you can find, a media personality charged with providing said info, or a member of the roster, everyone can agree. There’s nothing like training camp.

For the Eagles, the starting lineup is set. We know who many of the backups are, and that means the larger roster issues revolve around settling in on who the depth pieces are and whether or not it’s time to move on from some familiar faces.

Add names like Shaun Bradley, Patrick Johnson, Jimmy Moreland, Jack Anderson, Greg Ward, and Devon Allen to a list of players on the bubble. Here’s a ranking of five more we had to zero in on.

. . Reid Sinnett, quarterback. 5. player. 54.

The Eagles’ quarterback room looks much different than it did in 2019 when Carson Wentz, Nate Sudfeld, and Josh McCown were led in the room by Press Taylor. These days, current quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson is charged with overseeing the continued development of Jalen Hurts. They’ve known each other for a long time.

There’s been no trade yet, so backing up QB1 is Gardner Minshew. He can win games if forced into duty, and in a bit of a surprise, Philly lucked upon Carson Strong. No one would have been surprised if he was taken during the most recent NFL Draft.

Landing Strong as an undrafted rookie free agent has to be seen as a steal, but when you look at his addition and the guaranteed money he’s been given, $320,000 (quite the penny for a UDFA), it shines an immediate light on Reid Sinnett.

It’s hard to imagine a scenario where the Eagles place Strong on the practice squad and allow another team to steal him.
