. . Joe Burrow, Bengals. . player. 56.

The Eagles got a glimpse of Joe Burrow’s brilliance during his rookie season.

The most successful quarterback of the 2020 draft class is Joe Burrow. Prior to ending the drought and leading Cincinnati to the most recent Super Bowl, the Bengals hadn’t won a playoff game in over three decades.

Burrow was the only rookie quarterback in 2020 to start right away for his team. Prior to tearing his ACL and MCL and ending his season, he appeared in ten games, throwing for 2,688 passing yards while tossing 13 touchdowns versus only five interceptions.

Week 3 earned him the first tie of his career thanks to a game versus the Eagles that ended in a 23-23 score, but the Ohio native torched the Birds that day with 312 passing yards and two touchdowns.

His offensive line would let him down all season as he was sacked 32 times. During the next offseason, he was reunited with his LSU teammate Ja’Marr Chase, and the two took the league by storm as nobody could stop the dynamic quarterback-wide receiver duo during the following regular season.

Burrow ended the 2021 regular season with 4,611 passing yards, 34 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. He put up those numbers while getting sacked 51 times last season. Amazing, right?

In the playoffs, he and Chase continued to be must-see television. Versus the Tennesse Titans in the Divisional Round, Cincy’s QB1 led a game-winning drive to send the Bengals to the AFC Championship Game despite getting sacked NINE times on the day.

If you want to know how good Burrow can be, look at what he did one week later during his engineering of a second-half comeback over the mighty Kansas City Chiefs that would send the Bengals to the Super Bowl.

He hasn’t won football’s biggest game yet, but he has the talent to make another run this year.
