The Eagles’ process of trimming a 90-man roster to 53 players is underway.

If you’re like the rest of us, you can’t walk down the cereal aisle in your local grocery store without pausing, pulling out your phone, and logging into Twitter to see if the Philadelphia Eagles have made any transactions. We’ve waited all spring and summer to say this, and now we can smile while doing so. The Birds are back.

Once the two-week journey of training camp ends, the subject will turn to joint practices and three preseason games. After all, a roster of 90 men must be trimmed to 53 men and a 15-man practice squad.

We’ve all done this while daydreaming or when we should have been doing something else (mowing the lawn, working, etcetera), but in every conversation we’ve had, it appears that everyone has already made their minds up about who the top players and low men on the totem poles are. He’s some assistance if you’ve been busy with your summer and haven’t done so.

What follows is a list of the top players and most-likely cut candidates at every position. We’ve excluded Jake Elliott, Arryn Siposs, and Rick Lovato as we know who the specialists will wind up being (unless Philly explores some options and gets rid of Arryn). Here’s what we came up with. Let’s see if your list looks like ours.
