With more than half of training camp’s practices in the books, here’s a guess on what the Eagles’ 53-man roster might look like.

Try not to blink because this next month will move quickly. At the time of this story being written, seven Philadelphia Eagles training camp practices are in our rear-view mirror, and 36 Brian Westbrook days separate us from the first game of the regular season. An eighth practice, one that’s open to the public, will have wrapped by the time this one publishes. That one will be hosted at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, August 6th.

When we put heads to the pillow on Sunday night, we’ll do so knowing that two final sessions will put a bow on a two-week camp before we tackle three preseason games versus the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, and Miami Dolphins. That’s when the process of trimming a 90-man roster to 53 players.

We’ve long known what the top of the depth chart will look like. Here’s an attempt to add the depth pieces to that group. The questions are familiar. Will Carson Strong or Reid Sinnett wind up being the third quarterback? Will Philly even keep three quarterbacks? The Birds wouldn’t move on from Shaun Bradly or Marlon Tuipulotu so soon, would they? Etcetera and etcetera…

We’re a long way from carving out definitive answers, but that won’t stop us from making a few guesses. Here’s another 53-man roster projection before we turn the page from camp to the preseason.
