Another Sunday brought another Philadelphia Eagles practice. This one wasn’t held in front of 30,000 fans, but there are still eyes on what’s going on. A very fit and trim Brandon Brooks was in attendance as was another long-time fan favorite, Darren Sproles. He hung out with the punt returners for a little while.

Philly worked out in full pads. Kenneth Gainwell returned to practice, as did DeVonta Smith. Rookie Britain Covey, who may have jumped the gun by saying he had some ligament damage in his thumb, was limited. According to head coach Nick Sirianni, Covery’s injury is only ‘a sprain’. He said he’ll talk to the rookie about releasing injury updates.

Here’s Coach’s full presser ahead of the Eagles’ 11th practice session. There are some interesting nuggets in this one:

Here are a few other nuggets from the NovaCare Complex as the Eagles go back to work.

Jaquiski Tartt is back at practice. Everyone was happy to see that He’s been out for some time while dealing with a personal matter. We hope everything is okay.

A.J. Brown and Kenneth Gainwell worked out with the punt returners. Try not to read too much into that one.

Miles Sanders sat out with, at the time of this story being written and published, an undisclosed lower-body injury. Apparently, there’s some soreness. We’ll continue to dig to acquire more information on that one.

JJ Arcega-Whiteside (non-injury related), Grant Calcaterra (hamstring), Christian Ellis (hamstring) Javon Hargrave (toe), Jason Kelce (elbow) Boston Scott (concussion) Greg Ward (toe), and Jared Mayden (ankle) all sat out as well. John Hightower (groin) and Jimmy Moreland (ankle) were limited.

Philadelphia has also announced the release of offensive lineman William Dunkle and linebacker Ali Fayad. Take a look.

Here’s some fun stuff as we end this on a high note!

DeVonta Smith, as 94 WIP-FM’s Eliot Schorr-Parks noted, is rocking some elite gear: a visor, a hoodie under the pads, and some green gloves.  Here’s a shot at Number 6 hauling one in from QB1, Jalen Hurts.

Derek Barnett and Andre Dillard got into a brief scuffle during one-on-ones. They exchanged blows and wrestled each other before. These two have some history, but cooler heads prevailed. Once that wrapped, the day’s proceedings went on without much of a hitch.

Oh, and for those of you who are interested in this type of thing. Coach Nick Sirianni is rocking a T-shirt bearing the likeness of the ‘Ax-Man’, Jeremiah Trotter. He hasn’t been here long, but he’s an Eagle through and through.
