. . Myles Murphy, EDGE, Clemson. . player. 879.

The Eagles need another difference-maker at the EDGE rusher position.

Though it seems as though he could, Brandon Graham won’t play forever. He’s signed through the 2022-2023 NFL season but past that, who knows?

Once you get past him, the conversation shifts to Josh Sweat, Derek Barnett, and Tarron Jackson. Sweat has shown that he has potential. Barnett hasn’t. We’re still getting to know Jackson.

Philly has a potential out built into Barnett’s contract that comes into play at season’s end. You know the saying. A great defense can never have too many great pass rushers, and after tallying 88 tackles and 11 sacks in his first two seasons, Clemson Tigers standout Myles Murphy definitely qualifies.

. . Andre Carter II, EDGE, Army. . player. 945.

Andre Carter II exploded for the Army Black Knights in 2021, racking up 41 tackles, including 17 that resulted in a loss of yardage and 14.5 sacks. He’s long, athletic, and rangy, and at six-foot-seven, with his wingspan, he might be able to disrupt a few passes even if he doesn’t make his way into the backfield.

Other edge rushers worth noting include Ali Gaye (LSU Tigers), Felix Anudike-Uzomah (Kansas State Wildcats), Isaiah Foskey (Notre Dame Fighting Irish), and Zion Tupuola-Fetui (Washington Huskies).
