Davion Taylor will make the Eagles’ roster, but that last performance wasn’t awe-inspiring.

There are questions that require answers on the defensive side of the ball as well. At defensive tackle, the Eagles will most certainly keep Fletcher Cox, Javon Hargrave, Jordan Davis, and Milton Williams on the roster, but will they keep five guys and hang on to Marlon Tuipulotu? Losing him would certainly be a mistake.

Patrick Johnson, despite struggling versus Cleveland, has come on late in camp. It will be intriguing to see what the Eagles do with so many good players at the position now. One thing is certain. They need more out of someone they’re counting on in 2022.

Davion Taylor, linebacker

We know Davion Taylor is one of the fastest players on the Eagles roster on the defensive side of the ball. We also know that he has to be better than he was versus the Browns. He certainly didn’t seem fleet of foot, and now, he’s the subject of conversation (but not for good reasons).

He’ll make the team, but there are legitimate concerns here. Is he rusty? Has he missed too much time? He’ll be fine, right? Pro Football Focus scored him as Philadelphia’s lowest-graded player on defense. Four missed tackles have a lot to do with that. No other Eagles defender missed more than two.
