It’s finally time for the Philadelphia Eagles to piece a 53-man regular-season roster together.

Well, that wasn’t so bad! Three preseason games have come and gone for the Philadelphia Eagles. The attempts to keep everyone injury-free, for the most part, worked.

Sure, there were a few bumps and bruises along the way. Yes, Jason Kelce has that elbow issue, and Miles Sanders sat out of practice and the final two preseason games because of a hamstring injury. Both should be healthy (or healthy enough) to play in Week 1’s contest versus the Detroit Lions, so no one’s panicking. Still, as we near the regular season, for a team whose fans over-analyze everything, questions abound.

What if Jalen Hurts doesn’t improve and performs how he did last season? What if Jonathan Gannon screws this up? Why does it always feel like this team needs another safety and another running back? What if Darius Slay or James Bradberry gets hurt? What if they both get hurt?

Before we can answer any of that, the Philadelphia Eagles, like Devon Allen, have another hurdle to clear, figuring out the back-half of their depth chart. We expect vice president/general manager Howie Roseman to make another move. We’re expecting Philly to explore the waiver wire, but in the meantime, here’s a guess on how the initial 53-man roster might look.
