Using my free $1,000 bet, here are three players I think find the end zone in Vikings vs Eagles in Week 2:
3 Anytime TD Picks for Vikings vs Eagles
Jalen Hurts (+130)
Philadelphia has one of the best pass-catching groups in the league after adding AJ Brown in the offseason, and Jalen Hurts is a clear beneficiary of the attention defenses have to pay to the Eagles’ skill players. He had more carries (17) in Week 1 than he did in all but one game last year with the second-most rushing yards (90) he’s ever had.
Hurts found the end zone too. After rushing for 10 touchdowns last year, the dual-threat QB looks well on his way to surpassing that total behind an explosive Eagles attack.
Justin Jefferson AND Dalvin Cook (+258)
Betting these Vikings’ stars individually doesn’t net a huge payout, but combining the centerpieces of Minnesota’s offenses does. Detroit scored five touchdowns against the Eagles in Week 1, and the Vikings should expect a similar output.
Jefferson looks like the most dominant receiver in the league, and Cook had 23 touches against Green Bay. In what I expect to be a high-scoring game, I love these odds for both Minnesota standouts to find the end zone.
Johnny Mundt (+1600)
The Eagles allowed the most touchdowns to tight-ends in 2021 (14) and while Irv Smith Jr. is listed as the Vikings’ starter, it was Johnny Mundt who received the most snaps in Week 1.
As Smith Jr. eases back into game action, we’ve got a huge opportunity with Mundt. Consider that FanDuel lists Smith Jr. at +230 to score a TD, so sportsbooks believe there’s a good chance a tight-end scores. Let’s pivot to Mundt, though, at significantly higher odds despite his clear early role in Minnesota’s attack.
