The Eagles hope to slow down Kirk Cousins, Justin Jefferson, and the rest of the Vikings’ offense in Week 2.

Week 1 of the 2022 NFL regular season is in the books for the Philadelphia Eagles, and what a wild win it was for a road favorite that entered the fourth quarter with a 17-point lead over the Detroit Lions and wound up with a three-point victory by game’s end.

The opponent they’ll face in Week 2 is more talented, so things won’t be easier. The Eagles will take on the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football at Lincoln Financial Field. This is a Vikings team who just had their way with Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers and earned a 23-7 win in the process.

Could fans see another high-scoring game featuring the Birds? Hopefully, Jonathan Gannon’s defense shows up for this one. The Eagles’ defensive play has to be more consistent in all four quarters as they were sharper during the first half of the Detroit game than they were in the second.

If they allow Minnesota to score on three of the four possessions in the second half like they allowed the Lions to do, this game will probably result in a loss.

Two talented offenses are set to take the field on Monday, and there stands a chance that we could see another shootout. Let’s hope Philly continues building on what they did in Week 1. Here are three methods of attack that could lead to their fans going home happy.
