It’s hard to be in a bad mood following the Philadelphia Eagles‘ second win of the NFL season. Sure, they were favored, but the Minnesota Vikings are a worthy opponent, so it’s for that reason that no one would have been surprised if Philly would have wound up on the wrong end of the final score.

A win is a win. That’s what we told ourselves following the Eagles’ hard-fought win over the Detroit Lions. One of the questions that came out of that one revolved around how much excitement we should feel knowing it took everything the Birds had to put the Lions away, a team that most saw as an inferior opponent.

How a team wins is just as important as knowing that they won. The former can inform us of how good or bad teams truly are. With that being said, Philadelphia’s win in Week 2 feels much better than the victory earned eight days earlier. This team is improving. Week 3 brings their first divisional test of the campaign. Here are three of the better-looking prop bets if you’re looking to take advantage.

Jalen Hurts Anytime Eagles Touchdown Scorer (-120)

Just 21 starts into his young NFL career, Jalen Hurts has reached the end zone 16 times as a rusher. That includes two trips to paydirt on Monday Night Football.

There isn’t much to think about here. We’ll take our chances whenever we see Philadelphia’s QB1 has odds as an anytime touchdown scorer.

Jalen Hurts Anytime Second Half Eagles Touchdown Scorer (+220)

Let’s do some inventory. This is a divisional battle. The win-loss records rarely matter whenever the Eagles and Commanders lock horns. Often their games are tight down the stretch.

If Week 3’s clash between Philadelphia and Washington follows the familiar script, we expect the Eagles’ QB1 to place the offense on his back as he’s done all season. With his ability to make plays with his arm and legs, it stands to reason expectations of a big play late versus a fatigued Commanders defense are not only believable but inevitable.

A.J. Brown Anytime Eagles Touchdown Scorer (+105)

The Birds have been fun to watch on offense all season. Quez Watkins was on the receiving end of a 53-yard bomb in Week 2, but the only thing that’s been missing from the fireworks show is a touchdown pass to one of the members of their dynamic duo at wide receiver (A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith).

This week, they break the jinx. DeVonta has odds of +270 as an anytime touchdown scorer which is a good bet in its own right, but we’ll go with A.J. Brown. He has odds of +105 as an anytime scorer and versus a Washington secondary that has struggled this season, we like those odds.

We expect a 3-0 start. As the icing on the cake, we expect Brown to find his way into the end zone at some point in this one.
