The Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders renew pleasantries in Week 3.

What a difference a week makes. This is why you’re told to never get too high after a Philadelphia Eagles win (or in some cases with some Birds fans too low after a win). This is why you’re told to never stay down in the dumps after a loss. The NFL is truly a week-to-week grind with what we see in one game often having no bearing on what takes place in the contest that follows.

Philly struggled to deliver the knockout punch to put a scrappy Detroit Lions team on the canvas in ‘Round 1’ before demonstrating that they could grow into a near-elite team with a dominating performance on the most recent edition of Monday Night Football.

Their opponent in Week 3, the Washington Commanders, were fortunate to come out on the right side of a 28-22 final score in Week 1 versus the Jacksonville Jaguars before sleepwalking through the first half of their most recent game, one versus the aforementioned Lions.

The stage is set for another classic featuring these age-old rivals as the games between these two teams are normally relatively close and come down to one possession. Each of the last six meetings has been decided by ten points or less. Three of those six meetings were decided by a single possession.

Here’s some of what we’ve seen from both teams as ‘Round 3’ approaches.
