The Eagles have a huge decision to make with James Bradberry at season’s end.

Okay, here’s a serious question. No one is surprised by James Bradberry‘s play, are they? You shouldn’t be. When the Philadelphia Eagles landed the 2020 Pro Bowler, if you were paying attention, there were a few moans and groans, but they weren’t coming from this direction. Here at Inside The Iggles, we expected excellence and kept telling you it would occur. We even made references to Eric Allen and the days Troy Vincent, Bobby Taylor, and Al Harris patrolled the secondary. The only question we posed was something along these lines.

How on Planet Earth are the Birds going to extend him once he balls out (because we knew that he would)? Once the offseason arrives, Howie Roseman and company have to make decisions on a huge chunk of the roster. At last look, it was 19 guys. Many of them are starters.

Who knows what will happen with Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave? Decisions also have to be made on Kyzir White, T.J. Edwards, Brandon Graham, and Jason Kelce. In Bradberry’s case, he plays a position the organization rarely seems to value.

He’s proven he’s worthy of his coach’s and the front office’s trust, but that’s only part of the decision-making process. Should Bradberry be given an extension? If there was no salary cap, there’d be no questions, but that isn’t how things work. Here are a few pros and cons to mull over as Number 24 continues to craft a Pro Bowl season.
