Lane Johnson announces his Eagles Week 8 return as only he can
We typically wouldn’t run with an injured NFL star’s diagnosis of his readiness for on-field action. We all know how that would end up. Everyone would probably return to the field too early. We love Miles Sanders. You all know that, but you also remember that time he that he was out but said he’d be back in action for the next Philadelphia Eagles game. Team doctors disagreed, so under any normal circumstance, until we see a status report on game day, we’d be skeptical. In Lane Johnson‘s case, however, we’re willing to make an exception.
After returning to the practice field with his teammates on Wednesday but being limited in his participation, he did what any fun-loving guy would do to announce his return. He took to Twitter.
Lane Johnson says he is good to go for Week 8’s game versus the Steelers.
Lane Johnson has announced that he’s cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol and will be back in the lineup in Week 8 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. Take a look.
Again, there are no statements that corroborate what he’s said, but this is Lane Johnson. Raise your hand if you’re volunteering to be the man or woman that tells him to tap the breaks… That’s what we thought. So, again, we believe him when he says that he’s good to go.
The Eagles’ injury report looked much better on Thursday than it did on Wednesday. Only four players were mentioned. Three were full participants: Johnson, Josh Jobe (shoulder), and Isaac Seumalo (ankle).
Brandon Graham, who missed Wednesday’s practice session with a hamstring issue was back on the field today. Fingers are crossed that he can go in Week 8 as well. Things are looking up as the Birds are nearing the midpoint of the season and there aren’t any major health concerns. Let’s hope that their good fortune continues.
