Jalen Hurts Throws for 300+ Yards

FanDuel is offering Hurts to throw for 300+ yards at +490 odds, and I expect him to wrack up yards with ease against a Swiss cheese-like secondary. Hurts cleared 300 yards twice already this season and threw for 285 last week, so this number is certainly in range for him.

Bolstered by AJ Brown’s arrival, Hurts is averaging 8.5 yards per attempt this year. Houston, meanwhile, ranks 21st in opponent yards per pass attempt (6.9). My only concern is that the Eagles would jump out to a lead too quickly and Hurts won’t need to throw, but he threw for 300+ in blowout wins over the Vikings and Commanders before nearly doing so again in a blowout win over Pittsburgh last week.

At these odds, I can’t resist backing one of the NFL’s most dominant passers against a poor defense.

Eagles Win by 20+

I’m going with the Eagles -19.5 (+164) on the alternate spread, because I don’t see how the Texans keep up in this game. Philly is ninth in yards per play (5.8) and second in opponent yards per play (4.7) while Houston is 29th (4.9) and 30th (6.0). The Eagles have a sizable advantage on both sides of the ball and just obliterated a Steelers team that’s similar to the Texans.

Davis Mills has six interceptions in his last five games, so I expect a few turnovers that put Philly in scoring position to extend the lead. Odds of +164 give us great value on an aggressive Eagles team to keep their foot on the gas throughout the contest.

AJ Brown 100+ Receiving Yards
