Best Bets for Philadelphia Eagles versus Commanders in Week 10
It’s doubtful that there are any Philadelphia Eagles fans that need to be reminded of there being a game that needs to be played on Monday Night Football. Just in case you’re in the minority, however, here’s another announcement (and a few suggested wagers that should keep you busy during the proceedings).
One of the three teams that the Birds contingent hates the most packs its bags and travels to Lincoln Financial Field for a Week 10 clash. FanDuel favors Philadelphia by 10.5 points. We have no issues with the line or with rolling a few of their suggested wagers out as possible winners to help you line your pockets with some extra spending money.
Eagles WR DeVonta Smith Alternate Receiving Yards: Over 40 Yards (-220)
DeVonta Smith‘s most recent performance versus the Washington Commanders was one of those games that we might bring up from time to time whenever we think about this rivalry. In total, he racked up 169 yards receiving on eight snags, and he had a beautiful reception in the back of the end zone to close the first half.
Coming into Week 10, one might be tempted to ask why the Eagles would abandon something that worked so well. Then again, Washington knows who DeVonta is too.
One can never tell how a game might unfold, but even if you feel uncomfortable about taking the OVER on Smith’s expected receiving total (52.5), you shouldn’t have any hesitancy in stating he’ll go for more than 40 yards.
Eagles RB Miles Sanders Alternate Rushing Yards: Over 50+ Yards (-310)
If the line is correct, the Eagles could be up by two scores late in this one. That means we could be watching them employ a heavy dose of the running game.
Your guess about whether or not Miles Sanders reaches the end zone is as good as ours, but if he can break a long one, which he has a tendency to do, there’s really no reason to assume that he won’t break the 50-yard threshold as a runner. As a matter of fact, we’re certain that won’t be a problem.
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert Receiving Yards: Over 45.5 (-114)
Dallas Goedert is almost unstoppable if the opposing defense settles in on any ideas about employing a ton of zone coverage. Just ask the Houston Texans. They’ll tell you.
In eight games this season, he failed to crack the 45.5-yard threshold twice. Ironically, one of those games was played versus Washington, but after a monster evening in Week 9 versus the aforementioned Texans, it is hard to believe that he’ll be ignored in Philly’s offensive game plan this time around.
Take the OVER in terms of his expected receiving yards total on Monday Night Football.
