Best Prop Bets for Philadelphia Eagles versus Commanders in Week 10
Game days without Philadelphia Eagles football seem pretty bland, but when the Sunday afternoon slate and the weekly primetime affair that follows serve as appetizers for a midnight green-flavored main course that comes a day later on Monday Night Football, we’ll live with it.
Long before any of us were born, in 1934 to be exact, the Eagles and their rivals from our nation’s capital began playing football versus one another. In Week 10’s final game, they renew acquaintances for the 76th time. Per FanDuel, Philly is favored over the Washington Commanders by 10.5 points.
Despite the long layoff, we expect a cohesive performance and an even better showing from the Birds than we witnessed when they pummeled the Commanders in Week 3. We expect an Eagles victory. Here are a few wagers that should put you in the winner’s circle alongside them.
Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown Anytime TD Scorer (+115)
Following the bye week, the Philadelphia Eagles made a decision to spam the Jalen Hurts to A.J. Brown connection. Why wouldn’t they? It’s working!
No disrespect is intended to Benjamin St-Juste or Kendall Fuller, but it’s doubtful that they’ll keep A.J. out of the end zone for four quarters. He’s just too good, and he’s getting hot!
Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts Passing Yards: Over 238.5 (-114)
Admittedly, we bombed by taking the OVER in terms of Jalen Hurts’ rushing yards these past two weeks. The game seems to be slowing down, and as a result, he isn’t running as much. Try 33 yards on 11 carries these past two weeks to be exact.
Jalen Hurts has met or exceeded the 239 yards passing in six of his eight starts this season, and seeing as how he’s becoming more efficient, we see no reason to wager against him doing so again.
DeVonta Smith Receiving Yards Total: Over 52.5 (-114)
Jalen connected with A.J. ten times for 215 yards and four trips to the end zone in Week 8 and Week 9. Versus the Houston Texans, he and the Eagles offense rode the hot hand, Dallas Goedert, to the tune of eight receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown.
DeVonta Smith has gotten his looks, but he hasn’t been overworked or heavily targeted. We expect the Birds to make a concerted effort to get Number 6 more involved, especially seeing as how he torched Washington for 169 yards and a touchdown the last time these two met in Week 3.
You know the old saying. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Big games are on the horizon for DeVonta this season. Week 10’s contest on Monday Night Football will be one of them.
