If you’ve been walking around and carrying this feeling of joy recently, don’t fight it. That’s what it feels like to know the Philadelphia Eagles are 11-1, armed with a healthy mix of budding young stars and veteran leadership, and possibly in ownership of a top-ten draft choice by way of the New Orleans Saints. What’s that? There’s another feeling? A burning sensation? Fear not! That is also normal.

That feeling in the pit of your stomach is there because it’s New York Giants week, and that’s always different from any other. It almost feels like Christmas came early, but at the same time, you want to throw on a helmet and shoulder pads and run over Eli Manning.

No worries. Again all this is normal.

Philadelphia travels to East Rutherford, New Jersey for the first of their annual pair of clashes with Big Blue. The Eagles are favored. We expect them to win. Here’s a trio of best bets that should place you in the winner’s circle alongside them.

Philadelphia Eagles versus New York Giants Spread (-7) and Point Total (OVER 44.5) -114

Though the Philadelphia Eagles are favored, the overall records of both teams matter little when we’re discussing rivalry games, especially in the NFC East. Games in this series can feature blowouts as often as low-scoring affairs where neither offense gets much done.

In this instance, we like both the spread (-7) and the chances of both teams collectively exceeding the 45-point threshold. We’ll go with the OVER in this one.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts Alternate Passing Yards Total: Over 200 (-245)

The Giants have been anemic on offense at times. We expect a few three-and-outs and maybe a turnover or two. Jalen Hurts wasn’t the best version of himself the last time these teams met in East Rutherford, New Jersey. We expect a sharper showing from our favorite perfectionist.

The extra opportunities will allow for extended drives and Philadelphia dominating the time of possession metric. Jalen should exceed his expected passing total (OVER 227.5 at -114), but if you want to play it safe, go with the lower alternate passing yards total.

Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders Rushing Yards Total: OVER 65.5 (-114)

Truthfully, we didn’t have to think about this one for very long. The Giants are among the NFL’s worst teams in stopping the run.

We expect Miles Sanders to get some totes and take advantage of New York’s obvious deficiencies in that area. We also expect him to break one for a big gainer at some point in this one.

Hot. Arguments to support featuring Miles Sanders vs Giants. light
