It’s almost ‘go time’, or better yet it’s Gardner Minshew time in the City of Brotherly Love. Week 16 takes the Philadelphia Eagles to Arlington, Texas a.k.a Jerry’s World to renew acquaintances with the hated Dallas Cowboys.

The Birds and Boys have split the last six meetings, and though the line fluctuated all week, oddsmakers haven’t changed their stance that the Cowboys are their pick to come out on top in Week 16, but even though Philly enters this one without the NFL’s MVP, Jalen Hurts (we’re calling him that whether he wins the trophy or not), we expect the Minshew Magic to carry them to victory.

The Eagles win this one. Here are a few wagers that you might see as being interesting.

Best Bets for Philadelphia Eagles versus Dallas Cowboys

  • Eagles RB Miles Sanders Rushing Yards Total: Over 66.5 (-114)
  • First-Half Winner: Philadelphia Eagles (+160)
  • Both Teams Complete Their First Pass Attempt: Yes (-106)

Eagles RB Miles Sanders Rushing Yards Total: Over 66.5 (-114)

It’s hard to figure out what the Birds are thinking sometimes. One week after Miles Sanders ran all over the New York Giants and crossed the 1,000-yard threshold for the first time, Philadelphia elected to give him the silent treatment versus the Chicago Bears in Week 15.

This week, he gets his touches. Gardner, though talented enough to do it, doesn’t need to drop back 35 times. Expect a heavy dose of the running game. Expect Miles to shine as a result. 67 yards rushing should be a given.

First-Half Winner: Philadelphia Eagles (+160)

This game won’t play out as the oddsmakers think. As stated earlier, they’ve favored Dallas all week, but even though the Birds and Boys always give each other fits, Philly, despite taking some haymakers in this one will lead at halftime and at the game’s conclusion.

Both Teams Complete Their First Pass Attempt: Yes (-106)

Dak Prescott, despite his flaws, does have some ability. With the struggles he’s faced as of late and with this being Gardner Minshew’s first start since the regular-season finale last season, the expectation is both Kellen Moore and Shane Steichen will give their guys some easy throws to help settle them in and get their guys in a groove.

Both QBs will complete their first pass. Cash in on this one.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.

Hot. Dak and 11 other Cowboys hoping to ruin Christmas. light
