Eagles news: Philadelphia’s stars make classy gestures in time of crisis

If we’re being honest, it’s nearly impossible to express the emotional roller-coaster that we have been on since the most recent Monday Night Football game. We wouldn’t be as insensitive to state that we know how Damar Hamlin‘s family feels. Our heart goes out to them. We wish that we could hug them, but our family at Inside The Iggles and FanSided have both him and his family in our prayers. We’re also proud of how so many members of our favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles, have publicly shown an outpouring of love and support.

Admittedly, we don’t have much to compare this to. This is different than seeing some of our favorite Birds leave the field when we know, at some point, they’ll return. This is about life, and death, and a young man who was living his dream, a young man who is someone’s son.

Many members of the Eagles family show their love and public support for Damar Hamlin on social media.

There are both positives and negatives to social media. It shows both positive and negatives about people, but the outpouring of love we’ve seen from everyone has been encouraging. Many of our Eagles have expressed concern as well, including a fellow Pitt Panther, Avonte Maddox.

We thank our Birds for their support. Their compassion in this young man’s time of need help give us the strength to find words of our own for support. We’ll continue to pray.
