When you settle in for the Philadelphia Eagles regular-season finale versus the New York Giants, whether that be at home or somewhere among the 67,000-plus fans that are in attendance at Lincoln Financial Field, you’re probably going to notice that the team looks different than it has as of late. That’s a good thing. No NFL team is one-hundred percent healthy at this point of the season, but the Birds are getting some reinforcements. When you’re discussing Week 18 of the regular season, that’s a good thing. That’s about as good of an update as you can hope for.

Lane Johnson won’t play in Week 18, but the expectation is he’ll be available for the postseason. Jalen Hurts is back for the regular-season finale, and he’s starting. Gardner Minshew played well versus the Dallas Cowboys, but his performance in Week 17 versus the New Orleans Saints drove a significant point home. Jalen is indeed the MVP, and this team’s best chance for success comes with QB1 on the field.

The Giants are the final stop in what has been a wild regular-season journey. The Birds need a victory to ensure the top seed in the NFC Playoffs and a first-round bye. Winning this one is of the utmost importance.
