Eagles legends possibly playing their final games with the franchise
It’s hard to imagine Brandon Graham in anything other than an Eagles jersey, isn’t it?
From now on, whenever we mention underdogs or talk about perseverance, our intention will be to somehow, weave in a Brandon Graham reference. If that doesn’t happen, it won’t be because we aren’t thinking about him. He’s the author of the greatest strip sack in Super Bowl history, and his tale is one of the best NFL stories ever told.
We know it well. We never get tired of hearing it. A first-round draft choice, B.G. was the quintessential late bloomer, eventually transitioning himself from a potential bust to one of the all-time great Eagles.
All of his 13 seasons have been played in midnight green. His 12th NFL season ended prematurely because of a torn Achilles tendon. His most recent turned out to be a record-setter and one of his finest.
11 sacks are a personal best, and he did it at 34 years of age. If he isn’t named the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year, there needs to be an investigation.
There’s a special bond that exists between Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox, and Jason Kelce. They have been together for a while. All have played for Andy Reid, Chip Kelly, Doug Pederson, and Nick Sirianni. It will be hard to imagine the locker room without them, but depending on how things shake out, that might be where we’re headed.
