Philadelphia Eagles Divisional Round roster updates, injury report
With the Philadelphia Eagles‘ next game coming on a Saturday evening, everything we witness during the course of a normal week seems to be fast-forwarded ahead by a day or so. Head coach Nick Sirianni and QB1 Jalen Hurts would typically meet with the media on a Wednesday. Ahead of the Divisional Round of the NFC Playoffs, their sit-downs came on Tuesday. Those injury reports we wait around on at about 4 p.m. ESt to see on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday? We saw our first report of Divisional Week on Tuesday as well.
There were minimal surprises. An unusually open Nick Sirianni had already stated the Hurts would be a “full go” at practice, even though that first practice of the week is normally a walkthrough. His name wasn’t on the list for that reason, but Avonte Maddox, Lane Johnson, Linval Joseph, and Robert Quinn were all deemed ‘limited participants’.
Maddox continues to recover from a toe injury while Joseph is dealing with a calf injury. Quinn is working his way back from some discomfort in his back.
Philadelphia Eagles announce the signing of a wide receiver to their practice squad.
Just under ten minutes ahead of their first injury report’s release, the Philadelphia Eagles announced a roster addition. Wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland has been added to the scout team. He’s a six-foot-two, 205-pounder and former seventh-round selection of the Denver Broncos in 2020.
He played 11 special teams snaps versus Philly during last year’s meeting between the Birds and Broncos in Week 10. He has 23 games, eight receptions, and 91 receiving yards on his resume so far in his career. Prior to that, he was a member of the Florida Gators from 2016 to 2019.
