With the Golden Globes in our rearview mirror, we turn our attention to the back half of January. That means we’re full-speed ahead in our NFL Playoff discussions, the Philadelphia Eagles‘ chances of winning a Super Bowl, and, of course, the individual stars that we cheer for weekly during the games, guys like Pro Bowler A.J. Brown. The 2022-2023 regular season was huge for the man that brought dignity back to the Number 11 jersey. 1,496 yards receiving is an Eagles franchise record. That earned him a Pro Bowl nod and a Second-Team All-Pro designation. It may even earn him an Emmy nomination.

They hand out Emmys for commercials, right? They definitely need to hand A.J. one for his effort here.

Ladies and gentlemen, we present for your viewing enjoyment A.J. Brown’s Old Spice commercial.

Gosh, that was a long commercial, but bravo A.J.! Bravo! Someone get Steven Spielberg on the line immediately! We might have something here!

A.J. Brown delivered jackpot performances on the field of play for the Eagles this season as well.

Paid endorsements for professional athletes are often a sign that they’re doing a pretty good job in their respective sports as well. A.J. Brown has been a slam-dunk addition to the Eagles lineup.

His 88 receptions tie Irving Fryar for the second-highest single-season total by a wide receiver in franchise history. DeVonta Smith sits atop the list. His 95 receptions this season are a franchise record by a wideout. Together, these two are going to continue to make magic happen.

None of us really want to turn our attention from football right now, but if we did, there’s plenty to keep you entertained as we move through January and into February. The Grammys are on the horizon. Maybe Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, and Jordan Mailata can snag one for their album, A Philly Special Christmas.

If you haven’t heard, that one has made its dent on the Billboard charts. As far as A.J. is concerned, maybe discussions about an Emmy may be a stretch. Maybe we got a little excited and are biased, but hey, it is what it is.

We’ll have to wait until July 12th or so until nominations are announced, but if Number 11 winds up receiving one (pun intended), you won’t hear a peep out of us.
