After dominating the Giants at home, the Philadelphia Eagles are favorites to beat the 49ers next week, but the birds aren’t the favorites to hoist the Lombardi Trophy when it’s all said and done.

With just four teams left, the Super Bowl winner odds are very tight, but the Chiefs are the slim favorites at +250. The Eagles check in right behind them at +260.

Super Bowl 57 odds

  • Chiefs +250
  • Eagles +260
  • Bengals +260
  • 49ers +310

Philadelphia seemed to have gotten healthy on their bye week, but Jalen Hurts was great and Lane Johnson was even better at right tackle, in the 38-7 rout of their division rivals. Hurts threw for just 154 yards and two touchdowns, but he also ran for 34 and a score. He didn’t need to do much because the Eagles ran for 268 yards.

Johnson helped clear holes for Philly’s runners, and didn’t allow a single pressure in the 27 dropbacks, most against Kayvon Thibodeaux.

The health of those players was probably the biggest question for the 14-3 Eagles, who finished tied for the best record in the NFL. The other question is their run defense. Saquon Barkley only finished with 61 yards on nine carries, but it’s been the best roster in football’s only weakness.

Kyle Shanahan will do his best to run it down their throat with his plethora of playmakers, but can Mr. Irrelevant get it done on the road? We’ll have to see, but I like the Eagles laying the 2.5 this week and from there it’s either Patrick Mahomes on one leg, or Joe Burrow behind an offensive line of backups. There could be some value taking the Eagles to win it all before the NFC Championship game on Sunday.
