The hour approaches, and honestly, it’s hard to stay seated. Pacing leads to shadowboxing. That ends with the urge to pick up the phone again to see if there are any updates. Every quote and every ounce of information keeps leading us back to the same questions. Who has the edge on Sunday? Is it the Philadelphia Eagles or the San Francisco 49ers?

Perhaps you’ve heard. There’s a game on Sunday, the NFC Championship Game, and the winner moves on to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. As De La Soul once said, ‘Stakes Is High’!

49ers news: There’s a new twist involving Jimmy Garoppolo’s return.

Though the Eagles are currently favored, the Niners are no easy out. Expect San Francisco’s best shot.

How about this for a twist? There was a brief moment where we didn’t know if Philadelphia would see Brock Purdy or Jimmy Garoppolo under center.

Come again? Say what?

ESPN’s Adam Schefter had formerly reported that there was a chance Jimmy G might return for San Francisco’s Divisional Round Game. As you know, that didn’t happen. Here we are several days later, and Kyle Shanahan stated this past Monday that he doubts Garoppolo will play this week.

That’s good enough for us. Now, back to our previously scheduled program, meditation about this Eagles team and what we might see during the coming days.

More 49ers news: Charles Omenihu arrested

Just days before the NFC Championship Game (and hours after the San Francisco 49ers  defeated the Dallas Cowboys in the Divisional Round, Niners defensive end Charles Omenihu has been arrested on charges of domestic violence. According to San Jose police, he was released after posting bail.

Upon arrival, law enforcement was informed by Omenihu’s girlfriend that he had shoved her to the ground for an argument She reportedly declined medical attention after complaining of arm pain. San Francisco is investigating the incident. So far, there’s no word on whether this affects his status for Sunday.
