For the second time in the postseason history of both franchises and the 36th time overall, the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers are set to meet on the field to play a football game. The first playoff tilt didn’t end in the manner that Philly would have hoped for, a 14-0 shutout loss back in 1996, but hope springs eternal as the Birds are 2.5-point favorites per FanDuel this time around.

Philly is also at home in the friendly confines of Lincoln Financial Field and playing in front of the Birds faithful. That will also benefit them as the Niners travel across the country and into hostile territory. One more thing the Eagles can hang their helmets on is this. They’re simultaneously riding the wave of some momentum as they are coming off of their best total-team performance in over a month.

This game should be fun to watch!

They say people lie and numbers don’t. Live long enough, and you’ll learn that isn’t totally true. Numbers can be misleading. They seemingly lie all the time.

Is the NIners’ run defense impenetrable, or are there chinks in the armor? We have much to discuss! We’ve done some digging and turned over a few stones. Here are five stats that you’ll most certainly see as being interesting, stats could help tell the Eagles and 49ers tales in the NFC Championship Game.
