When it comes to the Super Bowl, everyone is betting on everything, whether you’re a regular bettor, or you’re just trying to get ready to win a Super Bowl prop bet pool at the party on February 12th.

It’s the biggest game of the year, so I’d say it’s important to score first. The Eagles have been great at doing that all season, they were fourth in first quarter offense in the NFL this year, the Chiefs were right behind at fifth. The difference is the defenses. If Philly gets into the red zone, then they’re in great shape because Kansas City has allowed a touchdown on 65.57% of their opponents red zone trips. That’s 30th in the NFL. The Eagles are 11th.

If you like the Eagles to reach the end zone first then you’ve come to the right place. These are my three favorite first touchdown scorer bets for the Philadelphia Eagles on Super Bowl Sunday. Let’s go!

Best first touchdown scorer bets for Chiefs vs. Eagles

Jalen Hurts +800
DeVonta Smith +1100
Kenneth Gainwell +1700

Jalen Hurts +800

Hurts hasn’t been the same weapon as a runner since his shoulder injury and he was even careful with it last week. He’s clearly not 100%, but that doesn’t mean Philly won’t go to their now patented QB sneak that’s become the most successful play in the NFL. Hurts scored that way in the Conference Championship, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he did it again to open the Super Bowl. Hurts had 11 of his 13 rushing touchdowns in the red zone this year.

DeVonta Smith +1100

The Eagles didn’t need to throw against San Francisco, or against New York either, but when they do, Smith is the go-to guy in the red zone. Smith had a team high seven receptions and five touchdowns in the red zone this season. Don’t let his slight frame fool you, he’s a red zone threat. Smith had seven touchdowns this season.

Kenneth Gainwell +1700

Gainwell ran for four touchdowns from inside the 20-yard line this season. He’s also been the team’s leading rusher in both of their playoff games. Boston Scott can steal goal line touches from Gainwell sometimes, but Gainwell has 26 postseason carries to Scott’s 12 and I’ll bank on that volume.
